Due to morphological and cognitive similarities to modern humans, chimpanzees (Pan troglodytes) and bonobos (Pan paniscus) are often used as models for early hominid behaviour (Stanford, 1998:400). As this model, an examination of their behavioural differences and similarities may assist in determining how aggressive early hominids (in particular Australopithecus) may have been, as well as how they may have dealt with tension in their communities. Both Oscar Wilde's Salome and “The Rape of the Lock” by Alexander Pope can be seen as commentaries on the society and the expectations of people at the time they were written. Been a Long Time

Hello everyone!

I haven't been on DA in quite some time, and it looks like a lot has changed in that time. It's nice, but I wish that clicking on the 'x's in the adds didn't bring you to the page being advertised - seems a little deceptive to me. I suppose I could subscribe again to get rid of them completely, but until I start writing again, it seems a little silly.

Speaking of writing, other than essays and assignments for school, I really haven't been writing anything at all. I feel a little bad about it - looks like I'm putting off writing my story once again - but hopefully all the knowledge I gain through university will only improve my writing abilities and make the final product that much better.

Anyway, just wanted to put in a little update - I may post some of my essays (ones that have already been marked and that I like), but other than that, I think my writing is going to remain on hiatus until at least the summer, possibly longer.
